Terms of Use

Practical rules and important safety limits for using our free concrete estimating calculators.

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Service: Concrete Calc Pilot at concretecalcpilot.com, an independently operated website maintained by Ethan Zhang. Contact: support@concretecalcpilot.com.

By using this website, its calculators and explanatory content, you agree to these Terms of Use to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how the website and support mailbox handle information.

Important distinction

Our tools provide planning estimates, not certified structural designs or binding supplier prices. Check your dimensions and the applicable current product data with a supplier or qualified professional before ordering, pouring or undertaking structural work.

1. What the service includes

We provide free browser-based calculators and supporting explanations for concrete volume, slabs, bag quantities, cylindrical forms (including Sonotube), fence-post holes, self-leveling underlayment and user-entered project budgets. Calculations use geometric formulas, selected units, stated material-yield assumptions and other values entered or chosen by you.

You may use the tools for personal, DIY, educational or commercial planning. There is currently no customer account, paid subscription, guaranteed price feed or professional engineering service provided by this website.

2. Estimates, assumptions and accuracy

  • Measurements: an estimate is only as useful as your entered lengths, widths, depths, units, quantities and form dimensions. Actual excavation and forms may differ from idealized geometry.
  • Concrete quantities: estimated volume and bag rounding depend on your waste allowance, actual form volume and product-specific yield. Batch losses, over-excavation, spill, soil conditions and jobsite practices can change the amount required.
  • Sonotube and post holes: nominal form size may differ from its measured inside diameter, and post displacement, gravel layers, spacing and structural depth require site-specific checks.
  • Self-leveling products: coverage, allowable thickness, substrate conditions, primer, aggregate extensions and suitability depend on the exact manufacturer's technical data sheet. A custom input is not a manufacturer certification.
  • Costs: user-entered prices and budgets are not live local material quotes. A material-only estimate does not include installation. Delivered or installed budgets depend on the labor, preparation, freight and other costs you supply, and may omit taxes, permits or unforeseen work.

We make important calculation assumptions available in our Calculation Methodology, including worked examples you can reproduce, and maintain product-specific notes on our Source References page. These explanations help you check a result; they do not guarantee real-world performance.

3. No engineering or construction safety certification

The service does not provide site inspections, geotechnical analysis, architectural plans, structural engineering, permitting advice, code interpretations, installation supervision or a licensed professional's approval. It cannot establish the safe strength, reinforcement, load-bearing capacity, soil suitability, frost protection, footing design or building-code compliance of a project.

For foundations, structural slabs, retaining structures and other safety-critical work, seek appropriately qualified local advice, follow applicable building requirements and verify manufacturer installation instructions. The person undertaking the project remains responsible for jobsite decisions, quantities ordered and regulatory compliance.

4. Product references and third-party services

Names such as QUIKRETE, Sonotube, ARDEX and LevelQuik identify third-party products or published technical information; their trademarks belong to their owners. Reference to a brand or manufacturer does not indicate sponsorship, partnership, validation or endorsement of Concrete Calc Pilot. Product data can be revised, and you should always check the exact product and current information before buying.

Linked manufacturer and other outside websites operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content, availability, prices or privacy practices.

5. Permitted use and site content

You may use the calculators to estimate a project, save or print your own results, share those results and link to our public pages. These permissions do not transfer ownership of the website's original code, design, text or graphics or any third-party materials. Please do not republish our website or present our content as your own without permission or another valid legal basis.

Do not use the site for unlawful purposes, try to bypass site security, interfere with availability or send automated traffic that materially impairs the service. Ordinary search-engine crawling and lawful access are not prohibited by this statement.

6. Availability, warranties and limitation of liability

We work to maintain useful calculations, review sources and correct reported mistakes, but we do not promise error-free results, uninterrupted access, product availability or suitability for any specific project. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service and its informational content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses arising from decisions made solely on unverified estimates, including incorrectly ordered materials, rework or project delays. This provision does not exclude or limit liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Corrections, changes and questions

Technical information and third-party documents can change. We may revise formulas, assumptions, supporting articles or this policy and may suspend a tool to correct a material problem. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the revision date above; continued use after a revised version is published is subject to applicable law.

To report an error, include the calculator URL, inputs, units, product selection, expected result and actual result. Please avoid sending confidential project information. Our Contact page explains how to get in touch, and our calculation verification method provides additional detail.
